Had a pretty substantial debate on

As in most debates, both sides just feel more strongly about their believes. However, this debate makes me realize that the current version of world canons (and to extend further, the token globalisms also seen in world history in the strand of J.M. Roberts, in general historical survey of world philosophy, literature, art history, etc.) are actually backed by the dominant western media propaganda, which defines for most people who are good guys and who are bad guys. Ultimately, if the journalistic ideology is not truly pluralized, then a fundamental change in how the world - its histories, its traditions - is being seen and studied will be hard to change.
Ironically, might be that was why Jin Yong took up journalism in the first place.
